March Favorites 2018

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a favorites post and there is a lot I’ve been loving this month and this year. Here’s a look at all my favorites for March 2018:

JADE ROLLER

I randomly found out about jade rollers on Instagram and I knew I needed one in my life. If you haven’t heard about jade rolling, basically it’s using jade to help cool and drain lymphatic fluid from your face, increase circulation, and reduce under eye dark circles. Plus jade is supposed to have healing and protective properties which I am all about. I like to keep my jade roller in the freezer overnight and then use it on my face in the morning to help de-puff and then I use it at night over a serum to really help it sink in. I love how it feels on my face and it makes me feel like I’m doing something extra special.

CASETIFY GLITTER CASE

I have been loving my glitter phone cases from Casetify; I did a full review if you’re interested. Basically it’s a liquid glitter case that you can customize with text or custom artwork options, and they even have different glitter colors to choose from. It’s just a cute way to accessorize and protect my phone. And since I always have my phone with me, it just looks pretty and really eye-catching. Use my link for $10 your first purchase!

PLANNER STICKERS

I’ve been getting on board with using more “kit”-type stickers in my Erin Condren Life Planner. Basically I love my planner as it comes and I don’t really like the idea of buying a kit just to cover it all up — why even buy a planner if you are just going to fill it top to bottom with stickers? But lately, I’ve been buying a few kits from Etsy and then using that one kit to decorate an entire month in my planner. It adds a nice, cohesive theme while not cluttering everything up or making it look junky. I love the kits from PeachyChicCo because they  are beautiful and have horizontal styles that work with my planner. Also, right now Erin Condren is having a 50% off sale on all dated books, monthly planners, and their LifePlanner (my fav) — so if you are wanting to try one out, this is the best time. ANIMAL CROSSING

I’ve mentioned this game before, and I’m still playing it and loving it. It’s a really “calm” game where you just collect items from different camp areas and deliver them to cute little animal characters. When you complete requests, you get building materials so you can craft different items/furniture. There’s not really a goal or endgame, but you can design/decorate your campsite and invite your cute animal friends over. There are always new events that go on during the game and keep things interesting.

TREADMILL RUNS | 5K

I am really proud of this one! At the end of last year, I made a goal to run a 5K in under 30 minutes in 2018. At the time I was working on increasing my pace, and getting into running more since I have lost a good amount of weight. I’ve always enjoyed running but I never was working toward a certain speed/distance goal and a 5K seemed like the perfect start. When I first started out, I completed my 5K in 39 minutes and each week I would get a little faster. Some weeks it was very hard and I didn’t even complete the 5K; it was especially hard because I was having trouble maintaining a fast pace and would just burn out. So, we calculated that I only needed to maintain a 6.2 mph pace to meet my goal and that’s all I focused on until I finally did it! I completed my 5K in 29:45 the first time and then again today I did it in 29:49. It’s been great having my treadmill at home and being able to reach one of my resolutions so early in the year!

TARGET CLOTHES

Since I have lost that weight, I have been slowly buying a few more clothes to incorporate into my wardrobe. I love the new Universal Thread line at Target; it’s affordable and very comfortable/cute-looking. The colors all work well together and I think they will transition well into summer. These are a few of the pieces I bought and wear basically everyday:

CRYSTALS

I bought the best crystals while we were in San Fransisco and I am loving them. I keep them on my desk on my selenite or carry them with me when I go out.

AMAZON VIDEO

We’ve been watching Amazon Video a lot even though we also have Netflix. Amazon Video is free with my Prime account and it’s great because it has some shows that Netflix doesn’t have. We’ve been enjoying Hell’s Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay and it’s great; plus there are a lot of seasons.

ACTIVATED CHARCOAL

I bought some activated charcoal to make face masks and use to brush/whiten my teeth. So far it’s been great and I feel like my teeth are looking whiter. It’s kind of crazy looking to brush with black charcoal and I was nervous it wouldn’t stain my teeth black, but it definitely didn’t and it didn’t really have a taste either which was good.

ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH

I just started using an Oral-B Pro 6000 because my dentist recommended an electric toothbrush. It has been amazing and I feel like my teeth are cleaner and that I am polishing my teeth with every brush. The replacement brush heads seem expensive but I think it’s worth it in the long run for the clean you get. I’m really liking it so far.

SLEEP MASK

My best sleep happens when I have complete darkness so having a sleep mask is perfect. I love having a little pressure on my eyes and it’s such an easy solution to help me sleep better.

JOSIE MARAN ARGAN OIL + FARMACY HONEY DROP

I have used and loved Josie Maran argan oil for years and you can do so much with it. Lately, I have been layering it underneath my Farmacy Honey Drop moisturizer and my skin has been so smooth and soft.

MILDLINER HIGHLIGHTERS

I love the variety of colors with these highlighter markers. Not every color is a winner for me, but I have a lot of favorites. Some of the colors in the pastel set (purple pack) are so nice and they don’t bleed through in my planner.

BKR – “ROSY”

It’s not a favorites post without a bkr in the list. I love my entire collection of these gorgeous glass water bottles, but I’ve been loving the bright, pinky coral color of “Rosy”. It just makes me think of sunshine and happiness. I have it in the 500 ml size and it’s perfect for on the go.
