2022 A5 Life Planner Accessories

I recently got my new planner for next year — an A5 Erin Condren Life Planner, and I am really excited to use it. This will be my 9th year using a Life Planner, but my first time using the new coiled A5 size. I did a full review of the A5 Life Planner if you’re interested, and in this post I will be sharing my planner accessories for 2022.

2022 A5 Life Planner Accessories

Planner Cover

I briefly mentioned that I was interested in this planner cover in my last A5 post, and I finally decided to order one. Mine is in the Bella style in holographic purple; it reminds me so much of my old Little Mermaid sequined backpack. This planner cover fits A5 planners, but I had to add on a spine-widening customization to accommodate the Erin Condren coil (1.5″).

I love the rainbow holo reflection in this cover. It has a snap closure, pen holder, and lots of pockets on the inside front.

The snap closure helps the planner feel more secure/contained. I really like the extra layer of cute color. Even though this cover does add a lot of bulk to my life planner, I love how it looks.

Stickers + Washi + Pictures

I don’t usually go for weekly sticker kits or the “no white space” sticker planning style. I prefer to use stickers as an accent or highlight to my week. In the past, I’ve been able to get away with using a normal weekly kit throughout an entire month.

With this new A5 size planner, I wasn’t sure how I would use sticker kits. The size of the A5 layout is arranged differently and obviously smaller than the normal Life Planners — read about the differences in my A5 vs 7×9 Erin Condren Life Planner Comparison Post.

Luckily, I’ve found that the Hobonichi Weeks planner boxes can fit within the A5 boxes. So while the stickers are definitely smaller, I can still add some deco/accent to my weekly spreads. The Hobonichi kits I will be using so far are from Every Minute A Story.

I’ll also be using some washi tape samples from EMAS. I don’t love using washi all the time because it takes up a lot of room, but it’s really pretty in some spreads. I never finish an entire roll, so it’s more convenient to be able to buy smaller samples instead. I’ll be using some of my favorite stickers from Rabbit Hole Hand Craft. I love these stickers as icons/deco for different activities — like knitting, running, cleaning, etc.

Pens + Highlighters

I only use one pen to write in my planner on a daily basis. I prefer the .03 point because I think it looks really clean and sharp. The pen writes really smoothly and doesn’t bleed through my planner; the body is the perfect thickness and you can refill it. I still really like my Sharpie pens, but I just don’t use them in my planner anymore. I store everything in my zip around pencil case so I can easily store and access everything I need (This is actually the exact same type as my knitting notions case; I love it so much.)

I like to color in little icons into my week, and track my weightloss, or skincare progress in the back of my planners. For coloring a small pop of color, I love to use my mildliners. There are a variety of color packs and they have a thick end and a precise end. Since I don’t use a ton of stickers, a color pop really gets the point across.

I’m really looking forward to using my new A5 life planner especially with all of these amazing accessories. Remember to use my link to get $10 off your first Erin Condren order and share this post if it was helpful for you. Happy planning!
