October Favorites 2019

This month has been a lot of fun, and I have a few favorites that I wanted to share. Here are my favorites from October:

Casetify Watch Bands

I have really been enjoying my new saffiano leather Apple Watch bands from Casetify. I have three different patterns and it’s been so fun to swap them out. The bands are soft, comfortable, and the printed patterns are crisp. These bands are a fun way to add a pop of fun to your Apple Watch and you can get $10 off your order when you use my link. I did a more detailed review here.

Apple Watch Series 5

After my Fitbit Versa broke, I bought the Apple Watch Series 5. It’s been really fun to be able to do so much directly from my watch, and I’m really happy with my purchase. I’ll be doing a full review soon after I’ve used it more, but I love it so far. The only thing I don’t like is the battery life — my Versa could last 4-5 days and I have to charge the Apple Watch every night. Of course, the Apple Watch does so much more and has a way better display than the Versa, so it makes sense.

Knitting

I recently knit my first sweater for myself! It was so much fun, and I love how it turned out. I used Tin Can Knit’s Flax Pullover pattern (it’s free), and I bought the most beautiful yarn from @sweetnesting on Instagram. I did a whole post about my experience. I ended up having enough yarn to knit a mini sweater for my niece so we can be sweater twins! Now I am back to knitting my double size baby afghan; this one is for my dog, but I wish I had another project too. Since it’s “autumn”, I want to knit more sweaters, but it never really gets that cold here, so it might not be practical. I could always knit more socks — just need to find some more cute yarn!

Little Mermaid Loungefly Mini Backpack

I bought this bag mostly as a cute backpack to wear when we go to Disneyland, but it has become my main everyday bag. I love it so much. My wardrobe is mostly muted and basics, and this bag really jazzes is up. I love having a pop of color and I love the purple and sequins on this bag. It’s really spacious for what I need day to day, and it has a large pocket on the front for easy access to things I use a lot. Full review here with more pictures and size details.

Erin Condren Life Planner

I have been using an Erin Condren Life Planner for so long. It really helps me stay on track with my goals and plans, and helps me to keep on top of pending things. So many times, things can pile up and it can be easy to let things slip through the cracks, but I feel like that doesn’t happen for me when I use my planner. Plus I love having it to track things that have happened, so I can look back and show the receipts if needed. I’ve had to do a lot of following up lately with things for our house, and my planner has helped me stay organized through the process. And now that it’s almost a new year, I’m excited to start getting ready to use my new one! If you have any interest in starting with a paper planner, definitely check them out. And use my link for $10 off your first purchase!

Tatcha Replenishing Ritual Gift Set

I love my Tatcha skincare so much. I ordered the Replenishing Ritual Gift Set back in April or May of this year, and just recently ordered a second. It comes with the cleansing oil, the enzyme powder, the essence, and the dewy cream moisturizer. It’s a great value when you order from Tatcha with my $20 off coupon, but it’s an even better value when you order the items individually during Sephora’s 20% off sale. Sephora’s sale is going on right now and you get 20% off if you are VIB Rouge. Check out my post for more details and my top picks.

Palm Springs

We visited Palm Springs in October and had the best time. I love Palm Springs and being there again was really special to me. The drive was easy — we used our new dash cam and it looks really cool in time lapse. We stayed at an AirBnb and it was great to have our own space with our own kitchen and pool so we could just enjoy being together as a family. It’s so perfect and beautiful there; I’m so glad we got to go.

Dragon Ball

We got a two-week trial of funimation on AppleTV and I have been watching Dragon Ball a lot. This show is great; it’s an anime about Goku, a super strong little boy who fights bad guys, trains to be the best, and searches the world for Dragon Balls which summon a wish-granting dragon. It’s an older cartoon but I’d never seen it before. There are a ton of seasons but the episodes are really short. I really enjoy watching it while working on my knitting. It’s usually in Japanese but funimation dubs it in English.

I hope you enjoyed this quick favorites post. I always enjoy reading these, so link me to yours or let me know if any of my favorites this month are also yours! Don’t forget about the time change this Sunday!
