Casetify Saffiano Leather Apple Watch Band Review

I’ve bought quite a few Casetify cases for my iPhone and I really like their options and quality. So, when I bought my Apple Watch, I wanted to try out their saffiano leather watch bands.

I got the Apple Watch Series 5, 40mm in aluminum black. I bought two sport loop bands since they are the most comfortable and I like how they look. I think the sport loops will always be my favorite, but I was curious to try Casetify’s watch bands.

Casetify has so many patterns, colors, and customizations to choose from. When you order, you can even select the color you want the clip hardware to be. This was really cool for me because my sport loops didn’t have that option. For all three of my saffiano leather bands, I chose the black clasps.

PACKAGING

The watch bands came displayed in a cute sliding box with a transparent window in the front. It looks like retail packaging that you’d see in a store. There’s even a little loop at the top to hang off a display. It’s fine packaging, but that little loop makes it awkward to give as-is as a gift. You’d definitely want to remove the loop and maybe wrap it or add a bow.

Each watch band was $52 which I thought is kind of expensive, but I had some credit available so I got three patterns that looked super pretty to me – Lemons, Strawberries, and Pin Point Hearts. If you want to buy any of Casetify’s Apple Watch bands or even their custom phone cases, use my link for $10 off your purchase.

Inside the sliding box, each band is secured to the backing with two elastic bands. It’s nice that the watch won’t slip around during transit, but still not the nicest presentation if giving as a gift. And for $52, I would have liked to see a little cuter packaging.

LOOK / FEEL / QUALITY

These saffiano Apple Watch bands are a vegan leather. They are water resistant and scratch resistant which made me feel comfortable wearing it all day. The bands feel really soft and nice; high quality. The colors are vibrant and I love how custom they look. If you’re feeling really extra, you could buy a watch band that matches your phone case since you can customize all of your orders with Casetify.

There is a lot of “Casetify” branding on these bands — which was subtle — but seemed a little too much for one band. The logo is on the back of the strap, on the tail holder loop, and the metal buckle.

The texture on the bands is nice; it’s got some small little raised bumps that give it a nice look. The pattern is printed on the band, but you can’t feel it; it’s like the entire band has a finish over it to help everything smooth and uniform.

Attaching the straps to my watch was easy. When I put the watch on, the bands felt a little stiff and plasticy. They even had a little bit of a squeaky sound. I thought the band was going to be uncomfortable, but it was actually really comfortable to wear.

The band is lightweight and soft on the wrist. I really like wearing it and seeing the pattern. There are a ton of patterns to choose on the Casetify site. I think these three I got are super pretty and good quality.

The longer I wore the bands, the softer and more pliable they became. I definitely wore the black with the white hearts the most since I thought it looked the most seamless/classic. I did switch off between the other bands too, but I think I’l get more use out of them in the spring and summer.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I really like these watch bands and I think they are a fun way to spice up your watch. I think they should be priced a little lower because of the packaging, and the initial plasticy feel of the band. You can choose a personalized band with your initials/name, and that might feel more worth the price. Overall, I am happy with my bands — I love the feel, and the cute patterns I chose.
