March Favorites 2019

It’s favorites time! I love reading these kind of posts and sharing my favorites. This is my first favorites post of the year — here’s a look at my favorites for March 2019:

ALGENIST LIQUID COLLAGEN

When I first started using the Algenist Liquid Collagen, I didn’t notice any instant improvements in my skin. I kept using it because I liked the feel of it on my skin and I know that some skincare can take time. I finished my bottle in March and by the end, I could totally tell an improvement in my skin. I plan on repurchasing during the Sephora Spring Sale, or maybe trying their Anti-Aging Vitamin C Serum. But I’m really happy with the liquid collagen and it was definitely a favorite for me.

TATCHA SILKEN PORE PERFECTING SUNSCREEN

I did a review on this sunscreen, but basically it’s super smooth and silky on your skin, and gives a soft matte finish. I wear sunscreen everyday and I want it to feel good on my skin — not sticky or hard to spread. This sunscreen is perfect and protects against UVA and UVB rays. I also have this in my cart for repurchase during the Sephora Sale.

NARS IGNITED EYESHADOW PALETTE

I finally bought a new eyeshadow palette and I love it. The formula is really nice and easy to blend together for all shades. There are a ton of shimmer and glitter colors which I love. You can create neutral looks to a deep smokey eye. I’ve been wearing it a lot since I bought it and I reviewed it in more detail here. This was limited edition, so check it out if you’re interested.

MADEWELL SWEATER

I had been eyeing this sweater on Madewell’s site, but it was sold out in my size. I thought I’d missed out since it’s warming up and sweaters are moving to clearance, but I found it at Nordstrom! I don’t buy clothes that often, but I really liked the colors and thought this would be perfect for me.

TATCHA PURE ONE STEP CAMELLIA CLEANSING OIL

I got a sample size of this with my Sephora order and I really love it. It’s an oil cleanser that I’ve been using almost everyday. It easily breaks down makeup (even waterproof mascara), but it’s gentle on your skin. I feel like this cleansing oil helps keep my skin balanced instead of leaving it feeling tight and stripped of all moisture. You just apply it to a dry face and gently massage. After a few minutes/your makeup is off, just add a little water and it kind of turns into a milky cream that you just wash off. I plan on buying a full size from Tatcha in their The Replenishing Ritual gift set. Use my link for $20 off $100 when you shop at Tatcha.com.

POP SONIC LEAF

I’ve been using the Pop Sonic Leaf for a little while now — my mom bought it for me (thanks, mom!) — it reminds me of the Foreo Luna Mini 2. It’s a cleansing device that’s made of silicone so it’s more hygienic and waterproof. I like to use it as I am washing off the Camila Oil Cleanser. The Leaf vibrates at 15 speeds and I like how the end is more pointed so it can get in close to the contours of your nose and face. My face really clean after using it and it’s small/doesn’t take up a lot of space.

KNITTING

I have been knitting a lot lately. I’ve made a lot of different outfits for my dog ♡, lots of beanies, and I’m working on another blanket. Knitting is really fun and it’s cool to be able to create something you will use. If I come up with a really cool pattern or a way to adapt one into something else, I’ll post about it. If you haven’t seen it, check out my post on How To Knit Socks on 9-Inch Needles.

TATCHA LUMINOUS DEWY NIGHT CONCENTRATE

My mom gave me her jar of the Luminous Dewy Night Concentrate when mine ran out, and I’m so happy to have another one. I’d never used anything before where I saw results overnight until I used this. I’m doing a full review soon. I notice my skin feels super soft and smooth the morning after using it, and it looks dewy and plump. It absorbs quickly too so it’s perfect in my night routine.

ERIN CONDREN LIFE PLANNER

The Life Planner has helped me keep on track for years. I love it because it’s bright, colorful and I can personalize it. I love being able to look back at all I’ve accomplished/progress towards a goal, and it’s motivating to check off tasks. We recently moved and I used my planner to help me document day to day tasks, track major milestones, and coordinate everything. Using my planner definitely helped me to not feel as stressed about everything.

FREE PEOPLE CROSSBODY BAG

Lately, I’ve been wearing my crossbody bag everywhere. I love the pockets and the structure of the bag. My phone fits perfectly in the front pouch, and I love the top zipper. I bought mine last Cyber Monday and I low key wanted to buy another to have as a backup, but they were sold out. I did find a super similar version at Target; so I might grab one just in case mine breaks somehow. I like having a crossbody bag or backpack so I can be hands free and I love the top zipper to keep everything secure.

AIRPODS

I love my AirPods. They are super simple and clean, which I love. And they are just really easy to sync. They can detect when they are in your ears, and if you take out one of the AirPods, the music stops. I recently bought a silicone cover to cover the case; they’re neon and make add a pop of fun to my purse.

GOOGLE SHEETS – BUDGET TRACKING

My printer broke 🙁 But instead of buying a new one, I’ve been trying to do as much as I can digitally. Usually, I print out a monthly budget, tape it in my planner, and manually track expenses, but now I’m doing everything in Google Sheets. It’s nice having everything auto update/recalculate as I enter an expense, and it’s a lot cleaner than manually writing everything out.

iPad + APPLE PENCIL & PROCREATE

I know there are newer iPads out there, but I love my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. I mostly use it to draw with the Procreate app. Right now, I’m trying to recreate a Bob Ross painting. It’s a great tool and I can do a lot with it. If I’m traveling and don’t want to bring a laptop, I’ll just grab my iPad and I can do some things on the go.
