It’s been about two years since I bought a new eyeshadow palette — I’m actually really happy about it. It’s so easy to see a shiny, new palette and want to buy it, but I only have one set of eyes and I rarely ever hit pan on any of my eyeshadows. I had been using the Tartelette in Bloom palette and it’s beautiful, but I had run out of a few shades and it’s been “expired” for a year 😬. It was time for something new so I purchased the new NARS Ignited eyeshadow palette.
PACKAGING
The palette came inside of a matching box, wrapped in plastic. The palette itself is really nice; I like the slim size and how weighty it is. The top has a vibrant pink and purple fanned out design that makes me excited to use it. This is a perfect-sized palette to take on-the-go.
Inside the palette there is a large mirror which is also great for travel. The 12 shadows are protected by a plastic cover, and the whole palette feels really substantial.
NARS IGNITED EYESHADOW COLORS
The Ignited palette is limited edition palette with a range of matte, shimmer, and glitter eyeshadows. Each shadow is .04 oz., and the palette is $59. All of the shades are super pretty:

- ST-PAUL-DE-VENCE I (shimmering nectarine)
- LIGHT UP (sparkling pink pearl)
- ATOMIC (sparkling bubblegum pink)
- SOPHIA (matte rich cool brown)
- SUPERNOVA (metallic coral with pink)
- IN HEAT (sparkling magenta)
- IGNITION (sparkling rose)
- NOUMÉA (matte sienna)
- FIRED UP (metallic rust)
- FUSE (sparkling purple with blue)
- PONTE NOIR (sparkling eggplant with pink)
There is an overall “pinky” vibe from this palette with a couple nude/brown colors. I really love the cohesiveness of this palette and I have already created so many pretty looks. Everything just goes together so well.
I love that there are so many glitter and shimmer colors, and the perfect amount of mattes so you can create a complete look. I really love glitter eyeshadow, and for me, this is the perfect everyday palette.
FORMULA + PIGMENT
The matte shade blend really smoothly and help to create a nice foundation or transition to the other colors in the palette. These three mattes are the perfect, warm/neutral color and are very pigmented.
The shimmer shades are also very pigmented and blend nicely. I love all of these colors. With all of these colors, I have used a primer all over my lid and set it with powder.
The glitter shades are beautiful; my favorite is Fuse. But to get the best color pay off, I use a glitter adhesive and my shadow looks great all day with no fallout. I just lightly dip my brush into the drops and then right into the glitter eyeshadow. This glitter is very fine and “sophisticated”.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I am very happy with this palette. It is so pretty and I love all of the looks I’ve been able to create. I am excited to create a new look each time and I love how well all of the colors go together. The shadow quality and the packaging are great. I would definitely recommend this if you love glitter shadows and pinky shades.
