DTLA iPhone Case Review | Casetify

The appeal of the DTLA iPhone case is that it’s sleek while offering military grade protection for your phone. There’s a shock-absorption layer woven into the edge of the case that provides ultimate protection which I was all about with our recent trip to Canada. Use my link for $10 your case.

DESIGN/FUNCTION

I like the slim, sleek design of this DTLA phone case. It has a hard, but slightly flexible backing and a bright orange impact-absorption material along the inner edge. The case is smooth and the front bezel is pretty thick. This case is pretty simple without any extra flair.

The case is lightweight and comfortable in the hand but I noticed that it was a little slippery to hold. I kind of got used to it, but it would be nice if the case was a little grippier or if I used a PopSocket.

Another thing that I was slightly annoyed with is that the case has the cutout for the headphone jack so that it can accommodate the older model phones (I have the 8 Plus). I do like that the actual buttons are super responsive and clicky-feeling.

I bought the Olive color; there are 4 total colors to choose from and they all have that same earthy/military look to them. The case is well-constructed and it feels rugged/durable.

I haven’t dropped my phone to test out how well the case actually absorbs shock and protects the phone, but I like the look and feel and it has an “ultimate” protection rating on Casetify.

I’ll be doing a Travel Diary of my time in Canada soon, but this phone case was the perfect case for the trip and I felt reassured knowing that I had the extra protection. Get $10 off your first purchase through my link.
