As a birthday getaway, we drove to Mendocino for the weekend and stayed at the Sea Rock Inn. We had such a fun time so I wanted to do a quick little review:

MENDOCINO, CALIFORNIA

Mendocino is a cute, rustic seaside town located on the Northern California coast. We drove up from Sacramento and it took about 4 hours. The drive was really beautiful as we got close to the town with tall, majestic redwood trees lining the roads.

SEA ROCK INN | JUNIOR SUITE 15B

The Sea Rock Inn is a cute bed and breakfast overlooking the ocean. We drove in and were welcomed right away. They were so nice at the front desk and gave us directions to our room and where to park. Each room has its own dedicated parking spot off the street which is nice so you don’t have to search for parking.

We stayed in Junior Suite 15B which was super cute on the first floor of one of the cottages on the south side of the property. You can see the ocean views right from the door.

Our room was clean and nice and we had a little front patio area to relax. The grounds at the Sea Rock Inn are beautiful with lots of flowers and well manicured lawns.

We spent a lot of time out on the lawn in the chairs outside our room just enjoying the scenery and de-stressing from everything.

Our room had a pair of binoculars that we took out to look out at the ocean at the cute little heart branch across the street.

There is wifi in the rooms, but it was super slow. I wanted to write a blog post while I was there but the internet was so slow that it wasn’t possible. It ended up being fine because we just had a little internet detox and got to enjoy our time together enjoying the beautiful views even more.

We walked into the town which was about a 15 minute walk. I’d never been to Mendocino before and it was really cute and chill.

For breakfast, we actually drove over to Raven’s Restaurant at the Stanford Inn rather than eating the Sea Rock Inn breakfast. Raven’s was about 2 minutes away and it’s completely plant-based so we had to go. Breakfast was good and we went back for dinner which was also delicious. I love going to 100% vegan places and having an entire menu to order from.

Sea Rock Inn was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. I recommend staying there if you are headed up the California coast!
