May Favorites 2018

Happy June; it’s basically already summer and I’m super happy about it. I’ve been loving a lot in May and I’m excited to share everything. Here’s a look at my May favorites:

Maui, Hawaii

We had the best trip to Maui in May; it was relaxing and so much fun. I’m really happy that we were able to go and stay on Kaanapali beach (my favorite!). I did a quick little recap of the trip in my Self Care Vacation post, but basically this trip was just what I needed. I even designed a shirt to commemorate the trip — good vibes!

Alex and Ani Sunstone bracelet

While in Hawaii, we went to the Alex and Ani store at Whaler’s Village. I found the cutest sunstone thread bracelet; it kind of reminds me of the Pure Vida bracelets I have, but this one has gold accents and five little square sunstone beads. I love it extra because I got it in Hawaii and swam with it in the ocean. Sunstone is a stone of pure life force, so I love that mine is infused with positive Maui vibes.

Rainbow ALOHA glow in the dark glitter case

Right after we booked our trip to Hawaii, I customized and ordered this glitter case that says ALOHA in rainbow letters. I love all the glitter cases I have, but this one has extra little glow in the dark pieces. I did a post on the two glow in the dark cases I got, and I just love the colors and the glitter. It just looks so fun and bright and just puts me in a good mood when I see it. I love it even more after having it in Maui.

Rainbow pullover

To stick with the Hawaii/Rainbow theme, another one of my May favorites is this rainbow pullover. It’s like a red-coral color with cute rainbow stripes across the chest. I bought this for Hawaii/summer since it’s lightweight and kind of slinky, and bright/fun. It’s also half off right now which is a good deal.

Survivor

Ever since coming back from Hawaii, I’ve been wanting to watch the new seasons of Survivor so we started up our Hulu subscription again to be able to watch. I love Survivor because it’s fun to watch the dynamics of the people as they try to form alliances and stay on the island another day, but it also mirrors real life. It’s so cool; plus they are on an island, trying to survive and win challenges.

Tatcha Water Cream

I am still getting used to the Water Cream from Tatcha, but I’ve been using it quite a bit in May, so I have to call it a favorite. This cream is so strange because it literally feels like a moisturizer, but as you massage it in, it feels like it turns into water. It’s a little hard to describe, but the consistency changes into a very “wet”, not thick/creamy/moisturizer-feel. I do like it though; I feel like it’s very neutralizing and balancing. I will need to keep using it consistently to see if I feel like it is making a difference to my skin.

Stila Glitter Eyeshadow

I ordered the Stila Glitter & Glow liquid glitter eyeshadows in Kitten Karma and in Diamond Dust and it is so perfect. I love glitter and I can’t say enough good things about this liquid eyeshadow. I did a full review, and I have been wearing them basically every day (except when we were in Hawaii because I was going for a no-makeup vacation).

StickWithMeShop stickers

I ordered these cute stickers from StickWithMeShop on etsy. They are little kawaii decorative/functional stickers and are bound with a ring, so you can swap out, add, or refill stickers. I love them a lot, and I use them each week. Here’s a first look at the SitckeRING.

Pilot G2 pens

I’ve used the Pilot G2 pens before and liked them, but they were never “my favorite pen”. They are definitely reliable and nice, but it wasn’t until I found them in all of these colors that I thought to try them out in my planner. I love the colors and they write really smoothly.

Erin Condren Life Planner

I love my Erin Condren Life Planner and I placed my order for my next year’s planner in May. I’m really happy with everything I got; I even ordered two planners this year — one in vertical and one in horizontal. Having a planner has helped keep me organized and is a great way to look back on my accomplishments.

Nest Hello Doorbell

I’m super excited about this one! We replaced our Ring Pro Doorbell with the Nest Hello Doorbell. I’ll be doing more of a review/talk about installation in another post, but I am super happy with the image and the integration with our other Nest camera. Also, the notifications are so much better!
