MUFE Pro Fusion Highlighter | REVIEW

Sephora sent out an email for $25 off when you spend $50 for VIB Rouge and with that, I bought this Makeup Forever Pro Fusion highlighter. I’ve been using the highlighter for almost two weeks now so I thought I’d do a quick review for anyone considering it.

Makeup Forever Pro Fusion Highlighter Packaging

Inside the MUFE black and red box, is the highlighter compact. It’s sleek and simple packaging but it feels quality and strong. Inside the compact is a large mirror with a protective film layered on top. The powder is super pretty and pressed into a wave cross-hatch design.

Makeup Forever Pro Fusion Highlighter Color

The color I got is 01 Golden Pink; it’s gorgeous. The powder is a pink color in the compact and it is bright. Put on your sunglasses; this is not a subtle highlighter. This highlighter is not glittery or chunky; it’s all smooth shimmer/glow. I don’t bring it too close to the apples of my cheeks because that is too much glow for me and I thought it really emphasized my pores. So I apply it on my cheek bones, on my brow bone, and my Cupid’s bow. On the face you can definitely see the pink, but it’s more of a “silvery” shimmer with a hint of pink.

Makeup Forever Pro Fusion Highlighter Consistency

This Pro Fusion Highlighter is super silky. I love the consistency — it feels like it melts into my skin, but it’s a powder. It blends nicely and lasts throughout the day. I really like it. I don’t apply it with any studio fix plus or any type of wetness, but I do use the All-Nighter setting spray from Urban Decay over top.

Makeup Forever Pro Fusion Highlighter Cost

As I mentioned, I bought this with the $25 off $50 coupon from Sephora. I bought this highlighter and the Bite Agave Lip Mask & my total came out to $45 which I thought was a good deal. The highlighter alone goes for $39; this is not an inexpensive highlighter. Yes, it’s from Makeup Forever, but it seems a little expensive to me. On the other hand, this is the best highlighter I’ve ever had and I love it. So I do think it’s worth it; especially if you love highlighter and want something very pigmented this might be your go-to.

Final Thoughts

I would repurchase this MUFE Pro Fusion Highlighter again. I love the silky feel of it and how pigmented it is. I like the feel of it on my skin and how the glow is not “glittery”. It’s easy to apply and blends well with my other makeup. Although it’s a bit pricey, I do think it’s worth it.
