The year is almost over so I’ve put together a round up of my 2016 favorites! I’ve loved so many things this year and I’ve split them up into Beauty, Entertainment, and Lifestyle!

Beauty Favorites

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish – Usually, nail polish doesn’t last for me; even gel nail polish. But this Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish does! I get about 5-7 days of beautiful, shiny “gel” nails! They have a wide range of colors. My favorite is Make The Cut.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Fragrance – This has been my signature scent for almost four years now. I love it so much. I recently got the Flowerbomb Precious Oil and it’s another great way for me to enjoy my favorite fragrance. Definitely a strong floral scent, which I love!

Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara (waterproof) – I love waterproof mascara because it holds my eyelash curl all day and won’t flake off. I’ve been using the Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara for years but only recently started with the waterproof. I love the wand on this mascara and the formula is not too wet.

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask – I only recently bought this lip mask, but it’s definitely a 2016 favorite. My lips have never felt this good in the winter. Amazing.

Rainbow Bubble Bar – These bubble bars are so pretty. I love how large they are and how fun they were to make. The glitter really took it to the next level for me, but the bubbles were amazing. I just love all things rainbow and, of course, a good DIY.

Anastasia Brow Definer – I love the Brow Definer; it’s super easy to fill in my brows and still keep them looking natural. I use the color “Ebony” and it’s perfect.

Shiseido Eyelash Curler – this is the best eyelash curler I’ve ever used. Some curlers don’t curl very well and some can pinch your eye, but this one is perfect. I get an amazing curl and it takes very little effort. Don’t waste money on cheap curlers or “cute” but ineffective ones.

Tarte Amazonian Clay blush – I love tarte’s products; especially their amazonian clay products. I use the color “dazzled” which is a sort of dusty mauve and it’s so pretty and natural. It blends well into my other face products and it lasts a long time.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation – This foundation blends really nicely into my skin and the coverage is buildable. I apply it with a damp beauty blender and a little goes a long way.

MUFE Pro Fusion Highlighter – This is the brightest highlighter I’ve ever had. My other powder highlighters were mostly just a shimmer and I don’t like the feel of liquid or cream highlighter. This powder blends nicely into my other face products and it shines super bright!

Urban Decay All-Nighter makeup setting spray – I’ve been using this setting spray every day and it’s amazing. I love that it sprays just a fine mist, but that your makeup can look better and last all day. I especially like how it makes my highlighter really pop.

Lush Comforter bubble bar – The comforter will always be my favorite from LUSH. It’s pink and the bubbles are gigantic. I love the bergamot scent and the pink and white swirl.

Sex Bomb bath bomb – This is my favorite bath bomb from LUSH. It’s pink and it smells so good. I tried to recreate this bath bomb, but I didn’t try to get the scent right which is the main reason I like it. I think I’ll try to DIY this again soon, but until then I’ll be stocking up of this favorite.

Cupcake bath bombs – I thought this was such a cute idea. I’ve seen tons of bath bomb recipes on Pinterest that look super cute, but they all used some kind of meringue to be the “frosting” part of the bath bomb. That just seemed really creepy to have this dollop of frosting just floating in my bath, so I decided to make this bath bomb with both the cupcake and the frosting part be made of bath bomb! It’s so cute and I will be making more of these soon.

Shoot For the Stars soap – Definitely my favorite LUSH soap. It smells so good; like citrus candy. I love the colors and the inlaid star shapes. I stocked up, but I never want to run out.

Entertainment Favorites

Amazon Prime – I’ve ordered quite a few things from Amazon this year, so I am very used to Prime 2-day shipping. It makes online shopping so easy. Plus, Amazon has everything you could ever want, really. And I love how you get Amazon Video and Audible free with Prime.

Stranger ThingsNetflix does it again with another great show. This series was so good and I’m pretty sure I watched it in one day (which is saying a lot for me). PS – the soundtrack is the best!

Game of Thrones – I love this show, but I also hate it at the same time. Everyone I like is always getting killed off. :/ I can’t wait to find out more about Jon Snow….and of course Khaleesi, my girl! Hurry up, HBO.

House of Cards – Another great Netflix show! I didn’t care for the current season as much, but I do still love the show. I can’t wait until next season. No spoilers!

Doctor Who – I started watching Doctor Who in 2013 maybe and I fell in love. This show is clever and funny. Each episode is really memorable which is both good and bad. But I’ve started watching it again and it’s definitely a favorite. So excited that Amazon Video has season 9 now!

X-Files – I’m so glad I got into this show; I love a good 90’s sci-fi. I’ve almost finished the series…hopefully the new season will be brought to Netflix soon!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer – This show was great and I’m glad it had a clear ending. There are a lot of episodes on Netflix, so if you’re looking for a long series and you like vampire slaying then this is your show.

Dave Ramsey Podcast – I love this podcast because three hours are released each weekday, so there’s a lot of content. People call in to the show with their financial questions and Dave helps them out. The advise is great and has really helped us this year. I remember hearing a “Debt Free Scream” and I was so inspired.

Terraria – This is just a fun iPhone game that I like to play sometimes. You build out your little world and fight the zombies that come out at night. When you explore, you can discover cool armor or weapons to aid you in your life. It looks like Minecraft, but different.

Lifestyle Favorites

bkr Water Bottle – I have loved my bkr water bottles this year. I think they have been a monthly favorite each month since I first bought one. I love that they are glass bottles and the fun silicone covers. My water bottle makes me excited to drink water! They come in a variety of colors and three different sizes. I like the Liter size the best.

PaperMate InkJoy Gel Pen – I love these pens and use them every day. I have so many colors in the .7 size, but I actually prefer the .5 size for the finer point.

Polaroid Zip Printer – I love this printer because it’s lightweight and doesn’t need any ink. I can print out all sorts of fun memories and stick them in my planner. The app is easy to use and the film is not very expensive.

French Fries – favorite food of 2016.

Chatty Press Address stamp – I bought the cutest return address stamp through etsy and I love it. It’s so nice and clean looking to send mail with a personalized return address. I bought ink online and I look forward to sending another card!

Fjallraven Kanken – My backpack is so great. I love the way it looks and  how I can carry so many things. I didn’t realize how restricting a purse was until I switched over to my backpack. Being handsfree is just more practical and feels safer.

Erin Condren Life Planner – I’ve been using Erin Condren Life Planners for a few years now and they get better each year. I love the bright colors and so many other things about them. My ECLP is part scrapbook and part planner. I like to plan out my week, and go back and record different things about my day.

Pinterest – Of course Pinterest is a favorite. You can find so many great ideas there and you can organize those ideas on your boards. I love looking at DIYs and planner ideas or recipes.

Recollections stickers – I spent quite a while in my Michael’s, looking for these new Recollections Creative Year stickers. I was so happy when we finally found them. Haul will be coming soon, but they are great. It’s so nice being able to look at the variety and buy the stickers you want. They have so many cute options so you don’t need to go on easy anymore if you’re looking for fun planner stickers.

Sleep Mask – This sleep mask has been a night-saver for me. I hate sleeping with light in the room. It’s so distracting and I feel like I’m not getting the deepest sleep. especially in the summer when the nights are short. With this sleep mask, you can block out all of the light and sleep in complete darkness; my favorite!
