There are so many acai bowl recipes out there and so many ways to customize your bowl. I really love this recipe and how easy acai bowls are to make. So if you like acai bowls or smoothies and you’re looking for an acai recipe, check it out:
This berry smoothie is my favorite for a healthy breakfast or an afternoon treat. The sherbet makes it a little on the dessert side, but I like how the fresh berries and juices give me my fruit serving for the day. It’s super easy to make and is delicious!
- 12 oz. Raspberry Juice
- 9 oz. Orange Juice
- 1c. Scoop of Raspberry Sherbet
- 1/2c. Scoop of Raspberries
- 1/2c. Scoop of Strawberries
Combine all of your ingredients into a blender and pulse until the ice is blended & you have that perfect “smoothie” consistency.
If you have been to the smoothie chain, Jamba Juice, you might know about the free “boosts” you can add to your smoothie.
Boosts are tasteless powders that claim to add extra vitamins or other ingredients to enhance your mind and body. As it is now, the first boost is free then each additional is $.25, but I found out from my local Jamba Juice that they will be charging 25 cents for every boost starting tomorrow.
3G Charger™ Boost
Keep those peepers peeled late into the day with this boost crammed with energy from guarana, ginseng, and green tea.

A B-vitamin caffeine-free energy boost to help you fight fatigue. It’s much more pleasant than slapping yourself at your desk.
Flax & Fiber™Booster
This excellent source of fiber also keeps your blood pumpin’ with a boost full of Omega-3s for healthy arteries.
C & Zinc™ Boost

Support your digestive and immune systems with this boost containing 500 million probiotic cultures. Don’t worry – they are all very polite.
Soy Protein™ Boost
It’s the best way for those who would never eat meat to put some meat on their bones. This source of non-animal protein helps build muscle and supports cell growth.
Engineered to compliment your healthy diet and exercise program to promote lean, mean muscle. *Lean Advantage™ Boost is made with conjugated linoleic acid, or “CLA”, which is derived from safflower oil. CLA is a naturally occurring fatty acid that is commonly found in foods such as milk. CLA intake of between 1.7 grams to 3.6 grams per day for eight to 12 weeks can lead to improved weight management when combined with a healthy diet and exercise program. Results will not be achieved with sporadic consumption. Each serving of Weight Burner™ Boost supplies two grams of CLA.
You put your muscles through the ringer; the least you could do is help them recover afterwards with protein to help support cell growth and building of muscle tissue.
I always get the C & Zinc boost (Immunity), but since the boosts are tasteless and you don’t even really know if there was anything added at all, I can’t imagine paying an extra $.25 for it. :/ It’s just kind of a bummer since, with the weather warming up, nothing tastes better than a nice, cold fruit smoothie and that extra “boost” can make you feel like your making a healthier choice for the day.
I still love Jamba Juice — definitely try their Berry Lime Sublime; it’s amazing!
