I love San Francisco ♥ There’s always something going on and new things to see. If you’re looking for ideas for a fun weekend trip to San Francisco, take a look at this San Francisco Travel Diary:

GREENS RESTAURANT

Landmark Building A, Fort Mason Center, 2 Marina Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94123

We love Greens. It’s vegetarian and everything is amazing. It’s located right on the water at Fort Mason. Our food was great and we enjoyed the view. If you’re looking for a fun vegetarian spot in San Francisco, Greens is it!

The building itself is pretty and we were seated near the window. Our food was great!

We had the Yellow Finn Potato Griddle Cakes and Curried Cauliflower Soup ^ which was delicious! Also the Wild Mushroom & Leek Pizza and the Mesquite Grilled Brochettes >

FORT MASON

Landmark Building C, 2 Marina Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94123

After lunch, we walked around the nearby docks and park. The weather was so perfect! We did a lot of walking around the parks. I hit my 10,000 steps on my fitbit right away.

SAN FRANCISCO CITY HALL

1 Dr Carlton B Goodlett Pl, San Francisco, CA 94102

That evening we had tickets to see the symphony, so we walked around that area. Right next door is the beautiful San Francisco City Hall building.

It’s so beautiful inside the building! The architecture and the details make this city hall so special. There were couples getting married all over so it was kind of cool to see all the wedding photos taking place. We got a lot of great pictures inside the building.

DAVIES SYMPHONY HALL

201 Van Ness Ave San Francisco, CA 94102

That night we saw Bronfman performs Beethoven which was so much fun. I love the Davies Symphony Hall. When we were last here we saw Philip Glass.

BATTERY SPENCER | GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE

Conzelman Rd, Sausalito, CA 94965

The next morning, we woke up early to see the sunrise at the Golden Gate Bridge. We went up the Battery Spencer Trail which is a little bit of a hike. But it was worth it for the beautiful view. After the sun rose, we walked across the Golden Gate Bridge which is also something I hadn’t done before.

STACKS – COMFORTABLE FOOD

501 Hayes St, San Francisco, CA 94102

After our hike, we ate breakfast at Stacks. I hit my 10,000 steps right away again. Breakfast was nice and we were especially hungry.

PAINTED LADIES

Steiner St, San Francisco, CA 94117

Next, we went to see the iconic Painted Ladies homes on Steiner street. These houses are super cute and are the ones from Full House and Mrs. Doubtfire. They are renovating the park across the street so we took our pictures from the sidewalk across the street. I’d never been to the Painted Ladies before so it was cool and such perfect weather!

CHINATOWN

40 Grant Ave, San Francisco, CA 94108

After the Painted Ladies, we went to Chinatown for the Chinese New Year celebration & street fair. It was super busy, but we had a lot of fun. Happy year of the rooster!

There are tons of little shops, selling trinkets and touristy things. I ended up getting a pack of cute little stickers for my planner as a souvenir.

SHIZEN

370 14th St, San Francisco, CA 94103

We were so looking forward to eating at Shizen after discovering vegan sushi at Lou’s. Shizen was a cute little restaurant that felt cozy yet large with its decor.

We ordered some gyoza and Brussels sprouts as appetizers >

Then our sushi started to come to the table. Service was fast since we got there shortly after they opened. We ordered a few of the specialty rolls and they were amazing. > My favorite was the Hidden Agenda roll; we even ended up ordering two of them!

Hidden Agenda — my favorite!

We had such a fun trip to San Francisco.
