I first gained VIB Rouge status in 2013 with the inception of Sephora’s Rewards Program’s highest tier. I was really excited to see what exclusive perks were in store as a VIB Rouge and all that came with this elite level.
I’ve attended some of the exclusive VIB Rouge only events and they’ve actually been really great. My guest and I got an extra %-off discount, closed-door shopping, and free coffee and snacks. I have yet to use the beauty studio to book an appointment, but that’s another one of the perks to being VIB Rouge.
My favorite part about VIB Rouge is the free 2-day shipping. I guess I’ve been spoiled by Amazon Prime, but I can’t imagine paying for shipping; it’s so expensive and annoying. With Sephora VIB Rouge free 2-day shipping, your order still goes through 1-2 days processing time like usual, but once it ships, it’s just 2-days.
I renewed VIB Rouge in 2014 and as a renewal gift, I got an exclusive Formula X – X❤Rouge nail polish which was pretty neat. Another nice perk is the extra VIB Rouge birthday gift I get each year. In 2015, I got an eyeliner addition in my Nars lip pencil gift, but this year there doesn’t seem to be an extra gift for VIB Rouge.
When December 2015 came around, I was just $50 away from requalifying for Sephora VIB Rouge so I started thinking about it — is Sephora VIB Rouge worth it?
To qualify for VIB Rouge, you have to spend $1000 in a calendar year. That’s a lot to spend on make up and beauty products in a year and for what? Well, obviously you get all of the products you paid for, do I want to spend this extra $50 in December just so I can maintain Rouge? VIB Rouge is just a reward program!
Basically, it came down to me deciding that the free shipping with VIB Rouge was worth it for me to spend the $50 on items I’d already planned on re-stocking. So I bought the three items in December that I would have purchased in January.
Here’s a look at my “haul” and my VIB Rouge renewal gift. I’d actually hoped to receive the new Nars blush renewal gift, but looks like another lipstick it is.
I just picked up my Brow Wiz from Anastasia, Lancome Hypnose Drama, and Stila eyeliner.
